4 Days of Family-Friendly Fun | 4 Peaks Music Festival
Things to do in Bend
It may not have the national name recognition of similar musical events throughout our country, but ask any Bend local what truly kicks off the summer in our beautiful Pacific Northwest area and the answer will be the same – the 4 Peaks Music Festival. Now in its 12th year, this annual festival is 4 days and 3 nights of great tunes, family bonding, and unforgettable fun. If you have never heard of this continually-evolving festival, you’re not alone as even though it is a one of the top things to do in Bend all summer, it has a much more intimate feel.
4 Peaks Music Festival
The 4 Peaks Music Festival will take place on Thursday, June 20 and run through Sunday, June 23 at Stevenson Ranch. Named after the nearby majestic Cascade Mountains, the organizers set out to celebrate the family-friendly ambiance of our area with a celebration set around the Summer Solstice. Getting local, regional, and national acts together across (you guessed it) four stages has created a community between the artists and annual attendees, keeping the intimate feel alive even as each and every year it grows!
2019 Music Festivals
As far as 2019 musical festivals go, this year’s 4 Peaks lineup includes an eclectic group of artists across the four distinct stages. The Cascade Mountain Stage showcases some of the top bands in the country with The Wood Brothers ‘headlining’ the festival this year. The Lava Rock Stage is the second largest and home to some of the other various activities throughout the festival including the morning yoga sessions, youth recitals and the ever-popular silent disco. Kidlandia is just as you would expect the favorite place for the youngest attendees to visit with family-friendly music acts and a bevy of activities from games to arts and crafts. The Junction Stage is set amongst the campers and is the most low-key area of the event where campground jams are ever-present.
Riverhouse on the Deschutes
As 4 Peaks is a multi-day camping music festival, many attendees choose to ‘camp out’ on the 150 acres at the Ranch. But if you want to really elevate your experience, Riverhouse on the Deschutes is ready to be your perfect home-away-from-home for the event! Located less than 10 miles away and right along the picturesque Deschutes River, our recently reimagined property will keep you in the spirit of the event without the stress of camping in the rain or shine.
