Event Safety Standards & Guidelines

The health & well-being of our guests and staff is our top priority. We have implemented new health and safety measures based on guidance from state health authorities and CDC guidelines.

Cleaning Standards

  • Employees will disinfect tables & all guest touch points before and after events
  • Hand sanitizing stations throughout the convention center
  • All vendors are required to adhere to Riverhouse guidelines
  • Posted safety and hygiene signs for guests throughout convention center
  • All restrooms are cleaned and disinfected every hour during an event
  • Restroom areas will be assigned to each event so groups do not intermix
  • All guests, staff and vendors are to wear a mask inside our event space per current guidelines
  • Guestroom housekeeping stayover service has been suspended and is by request only

Set up and A/V

  • A maximum of 90 guests with physical distancing is allowed per event space (per current government regulations)
  • Seating capacities and floor plans will be reviewed on an event by event basis to ensure guests can maintain appropriate physical distancing
  • Tables will be set 6 feet apart
  • All linens will be replaced after each event
  • Continuous cleaning methods for all a/v which will consist of sanitation of all equipment before and after client usage adhering to CDC and state health guidelines
  • Centerpieces are welcomed but they cannot be edible or interactive
  • Entrance and exit doors designated for convention center
  • Six feet distancing markers/arrows in place for guidance

Food and Beverage Service

  • Buffet/displays options will be suspended until further notice to eliminate contact points between guests
  • Coffee and beverage stations will have a server attendant
  • Dining tables will be free of salt, pepper, and condiments. Those items will be offered by request
  • Silverware will be offered in cloth napkin roll-up
  • Per state health guidelines, self-serve water stations/pitchers will not be provided. Bottled water can be purchased through catering
  • All servers will be wearing a mask
  • Guests to maintain 6 feet apart when ordering from the bar or beverage stations
