Ceremony and Reception Locations

The North Point amphitheater is the park’s designated venue for weddings and elopements. But you have to be diligent to successfully book the venue for your special day! Reservations can be made by calling the park office six months from the day of your wedding (and you can start calling at 6AM local time!).

For the reception, we recommend using our ballroom! Let Riverhouse’s shuttles whisk your guests the short ride back to Bend, Oregon for an outstanding celebration in one of our riverside ballrooms.

  1. Contact the Park Early: Smith Rock is a popular destination, so it’s important to reach out to the park’s administration as early as possible. Reservations can be called in to the park office six months from the day of your wedding by calling 541-548-7501 ext. 1.
  2. Parking & Transportation: Parking is not included in the reservation, but there is a first-come first-served parking lot that can accommodate 35 cars, including 4 ADA spots. We recommend utilizing our Riverhouse shuttle transportation to ease dependence on the existing lot.
  3. Capacity: Bench seating at the amphitheater can accommodate 40 guests and there is standing room for another ten, which limits wedding parties to 50 guests.
  4. Restrooms: Plumbed public restrooms (including ADA facilities) are located a ¼ mile from the North Point amphitheater.
  5. Acoustics: Amplified sound or music is not permitted at Smith Rock, so couples planning weddings in the park should focus on keeping things acoustic!
  6. Secure Permits: Fires, cooking, and generator use is prohibited, so plan accordingly!
  7. Decorations: They are permitted, but they should be removed before you depart and you are limited to string and tape as a means of securing any hanging decorations.
  8. Consider the Weather: Bend, Oregon experiences a range of weather conditions, so it’s important to plan accordingly. Summer and early fall are the most popular times for weddings, offering the best chance of clear skies and mild temperatures.
  9. Plan for Accessibility: Smith Rock’s terrain can be challenging, so consider the mobility of your guests. Ensure there are clear paths and seating arrangements that accommodate everyone comfortably.
